Schwebung (German: {shveh’ -boong})

The beats produced by the simultaneous vibration of two sounds, especially in unisons and octaves when nearly, but not quite in tune.

Schwebung Mastering, a service established by Stephan Mathieu, specializes in preparing audio for analog and digital products. Apart from stereo mastering, Studio Schwebung offers 16 track analog summing and the restoration of historical 78/45/33 rpm records, 1/4″ and 1/2″ reels as well as cassette tapes.

Operating from his studio located on the banks of the Middle Rhine in Germany, Stephan works with clients from around the world.
